The internet provides many resources to help assist with your transition. Here we point you at some of the resources we have found to be particularly helpful, including this glossary of gender and transgender terms from The Fenway Institutue or this one from GLAAD.

      This Guide is intended to provide information on topics of interest to female-to-male (FTM, F2M) transmen, and their friends and loved ones. Non-transmen have also found the pages on men’s grooming and clothing to be helpful.

    • World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH)
      Formerly known as the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association(HBIGDA), WPATH is a professional organization devoted to the understanding and treatment of gender identity disorders.

    • GenderWork
      GenderWork is Chicago’s social, support, and activist group for transgender FTM (female-assigned, masculine-identified) individuals. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
    • River Rock Therapy
      Psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups and consulting services for medical professionals around LGBTQI cultural competency issues.
    • The Transitional Male
      A comprehensive educational, support based website designed to enhance the lives of transmen as well as provide information for them, their significant others, family and friends.
    • TransMentors International
      TransMentors International is a non-profit organization which provides aid, support and assistance to Trans-identified individuals.
